How to configure various options under Settings page
To access the settings:
Click on the Settings option under the Settings menu on the left sidebar, or from the center box on the dashboard page. This will take you to the app’s Settings page.
Settings page has various options as described below.
Shopify Settings
1. Products Should Be Published?
This setting determines the default published status of Shopify products imported via the app. Options:
Published – Products will be visible in your Shopify store immediately.
Hidden – Products will be saved as drafts and hidden until published manually.
2. Default Tags
Assign tags to imported products automatically.
Enter tags here (separate multiple tags with commas).
Example:
T-shirt, Mens
3. Default Vendor
Assign a vendor name to all imported products.
If entered, this vendor will apply to all imported items.
If left blank, the vendor information will be fetched from Etsy.
4. Default Product Type
Assign a product type to all imported products.
If entered, this type will apply to all imported items.
If left blank, the product type from Etsy will be used.
5. Inventory Policy
Controls how Shopify tracks product inventory. Options:
Shopify tracks this product’s inventory – The quantity will be set as the Default Quantity for in-stock products.
Don’t track inventory – Inventory tracking will be disabled.
6. Inventory Sync
Controls whether inventory from Etsy is synced to Shopify. Options:
Enable – Sync Etsy product inventory with your Shopify store.
Disable – Do not sync inventory.
7. Price Sync
Controls whether product prices from Etsy are synced to Shopify. Options:
Enable – Sync Etsy product prices with your Shopify store.
Disable – Do not sync prices.
8. Inventory Sync on Shopify Orders
Controls whether inventory updates flow back to Etsy when orders are placed on Shopify. Options:
Enable – When an order is placed on Shopify, the inventory will be adjusted in your Etsy store.
Disable – No inventory adjustments will be sent back to Etsy.
Etsy Settings
Etsy Settings – Product Details
1. Who Made?
Defines the creator of the product. Etsy requires this to identify whether items are handmade or manufactured.
Options:
I did – You made the item yourself.
A member of my shop – Another member of your shop made it.
Another company or person – The item was made by someone outside your shop.
2. When Made
Specifies the production timeframe of the product.
Options:
Made to order – The product will be made after the order is placed.
Recently – Select the decade/period if it was made in the past.
Vintage – For items at least 20 years old, Etsy requires the “Vintage” tag.
3. Is Supply?
Indicates whether the product is a supply (material/tool) or a finished good.
Options:
A finished product – Final, ready-to-use item.
A supply or tool to make things – Raw material, tool, or crafting supply.
4. Etsy Status
Controls the visibility of the product on Etsy once listed.
Options:
Active – Product will be live and visible on Etsy.
Draft – Product will be saved as draft for review before publishing.
Inactive – Hidden from buyers, but can be activated later.
5. Listing Type
Defines the type of item being listed.
Options:
Physical – Tangible items that require shipping.
Digital – Digital files delivered via download (no shipping needed).
Etsy Policies
This means:When products are being imported from Shopify to Etsy, the system (or the app) is assigning a return policy to those products.
This selected policy will automatically be applied to all imported products, saving time and ensuring consistency.
You can update your default return policy anytime from the settings.
